Books I'm Currently Into
Be Not Afraid by Samuel Wells
Sam Wells, gotta love him. After taking a break from his writing, I found this little nugget which was written a few years back. Trucking towards middle age, you find yourself constantly thinking about mortality. And, even Christians, fear the unknown. This book has been very therapeutic for me.

Raging With Compassion by John Swinton
I know that I read this in seminary and while I'm supposed to move on a find the thousands of other books I didn't get to enjoy during my tenure in divinity school, I still go back to this. If you are every interesting the theodicy or "justice of God," and how to deal with it pastorally, then this is the book for you. As a youth ministry, I am constantly cornered with "why do bad things happen to good people" questions, and, until I can memorize this book, I will have to keep reading it in a two year cycle.
